Introduction to this Video Game Journal

I've played video games pretty much my whole life. As a young boy I had the Sega Genesis and played everything from Sonic to Phantasy Star IV. I spent a lot of time and effort on a wide variety of games when I was young and especially developed a love for Role Playing Games (RPGs). Everything from Final Fantasy 7 to Fallout 3 and all the other genres of RPGs in between. Once I was in high school I devoted most of my free time to sports and unconsciously put away video games. Flashing forward to 2020, I was traveling frequently for work and a friend of mine told me about how he made money from streaming video games and how he was currently playing a lot of Super Smash Brother's Ultimate. I was then inspired to buy a Nintendo Switch in December of 2020 and haven't looked back since. I've thoroughly enjoyed all the games that the Switch and no Switch 2 systems have to offer. I've played dozens of games since 2020 and have expanded my collection of games into a decent library for both myself and my two boys how are also now avid gamers. I am starting this journal with the goal of documenting my thoughts, feelings, reviews, and progress on the various games I play. As of right now I will start with Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave which is the newest addition in one of my favorite game series. I don't know if I will post a blog every day, but I will make a post after every play session to the best of my ability. Please enjoy the journey with me as I document my thoughts and play sessions going forward.
